Global Confirmatory and Accreditation Bureau (GCAB) is committed to ensuring the impartiality of its accreditation activities. This policy outlines our approach to managing conflicts of interest and ensuring that our accreditation decisions are based on objective evidence and are free from bias.

Scope
This policy applies to all GCAB staff, assessors, technical experts, and any other personnel involved in the accreditation process.
Objective
The objective of this policy is to ensure that all accreditation decisions are made impartially and that any potential conflicts of interest are identified and managed appropriately.
Conflicts of Interest
GCAB personnel involved in accreditation activities must declare any conflicts of interest that may affect their impartiality. Conflicts of interest may arise from financial, personal, or professional relationships with the organization being accredited or with any other party involved in the accreditation process.
Impartiality Committee
GCAB has established an Impartiality Committee responsible for ensuring the impartiality of the accreditation process. The committee is comprised of independent members with no direct involvement in the accreditation process.
Risk Assessment
GCAB conducts regular risk assessments to identify and manage potential threats to impartiality. These assessments consider factors such as financial interests, personal relationships, and organizational pressures that may compromise impartiality.
Training
GCAB provides training to all personnel involved in the accreditation process on the importance of impartiality and how to identify and manage conflicts of interest.
Complaints
GCAB has established a complaints procedure for addressing any concerns regarding impartiality. Complaints can be made to impartiality@gcabusa.com and will be investigated promptly and impartially.
Confidentiality
GCAB treats all information related to conflicts of interest and impartiality confidentially, in accordance with applicable privacy laws and regulations.
Review
This policy will be reviewed regularly to ensure that it remains effective and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
